ICS installed a pipeline conveyance network for a proposed vapor extraction system using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and High Density Polyethylene pipe (HDPE). ICS proposed HDD as an alternate method of pipe installation resulting in over $300,000 in cost savings. Project was completed within a compressed schedule with strict adherence to regulatory and technical specifications.
- Installed over 28,000 feet of underground HDPE piping to 75 vapor extraction points at 25 well locations
- Used HDD from the proposed treatment compound area to all well locations
- All piping was installed a minimum of 12 feet below ground surface in accordance with project specifications
- Routed all conveyance piping to manifold area inside the treatment compound area
- Backfilled entire pad area with excavated and imported soil under geotechnical guidelines
- Project was completed ahead of a compressed 30-day schedule allowing the timely start of a Site development project.
