ICS excavated over 50,000 tons of unexploded ordnance- (UXO) impacted soil from various areas throughout the site. The soil was stockpiled (with soil previously excavated by others) in a central location and screened through a plant designed and operated by ICS. Project was completed in accordance with specification under strict oversight by various regulatory agencies.
- Excavated, transported and disposed of over 12,000 tons of chemically impacted soil
- Excavated, transported (within the site) and stockpiled over 40,000 tons of UXO-impacted soil for processing
- Designed, procured, installed and operated soil screening plant for removal of UXO material from excavated soil
- Processed over 85,000 tons of soil and removed an estimated 98% of UXO material from soil
- Performed project under strict dust regulations
All work was successfully completed in accordance with strict project specification under oversight by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), and City of Chino Hills.
