Excavated, loaded, transported and disposed of over 6,000 tons of RCRA and non-RCRA classified soil from an active elementary school site in Los Angeles, California. Project working hours consisted of weeknights and weekends under strict traffic, noise, and dust restrictions. ICS completed the project ahead of schedule and with no complaints from neighbors or community.
- Constructed dry decontamination pad for heavy equipment
- Installed windscreen fencing around perimeter of site to minimize dust migration
- Protected entire site from erosion and rain damage with plastic sheeting
- Demolished existing hardscape and landscaping
- Provided dedicated dust control technician and water truck to comply with strict dust restrictions
- Provided dedicated traffic control technician for the duration of project
- Excavated, loaded, transported and disposed of over 6,000 tons of RCRA and non-RCRA classified soil over one weekend
- Performed continuous decontamination during project to prevent cross contamination of in-place and excavated soils
